Today we’re in the studio for the first of five straight days. This place is pretty cool and hopefully I’ll get some video of the sessions up soon. Right now I’m waiting to track the first song while Synth and Bass are checking their sounds. Nothing like warehouse studios in Oakland, its like a hidden kingdom of vintage gear and underground music.
This is the first track of the Air album, Moon Safari. The footage is shot from a streetcar on Market Street in San Francisco in 1905, just before the 1906 earthquake. Great track and awesome footage. Somehow the two go together perfectly.

The first is April 15th at the Caspar Inn - a lovely haunt in Mendocino County that is one of the finest small market stops on the long legged tours of our yesterdays.

Chasing The Moon With John Vanderslice
For those of you who haven’t seen this yet, you should definitely check it out. Chasing The Moon (http://chasingthemoon.pdcst.com/) is a totally rad podcast started by our friends Scott McDowell and Elijiah Pahati, recording engineer and videographer, respectively. I filmed this podcast as a duo with JV, and it came out great. Also, keep your eyes peeled for the upcoming Kacey Johansing episode of Chasing The Moon, where Rob and I played in her band. It should be great!
